This book focuses on the background art that shapes the world of the work, and 844 pieces are published from the vast amount of backgrounds that are drawn in feature films, with more than 1,000 pieces per work. The publication of the pictures was supervised by art director Yoji Takeshige. All 27 works from “Nausica of the Valley of the Wind” released in 1984 to “How Do You Live?” in 2023 have been drawn using various techniques such as brushstrokes, colors, perspective, light and shadow under the direction of the director.
