Memfitur koleksi 550 design label makanan kaleng yang rilis di jepang pada periode Meiji hingga Showa.
—
Canned food, which is familiar as a daily preserved food, was first manufactured in Japan about 150 years ago, in 1871 (Meiji 4). At that time, the majority of canned food sales were exported, and many of the remaining labels were made for overseas markets.
This book contains about 550 canned food labels for domestic and export printed from Meiji 10 to the Showa period. From fish, meat, crustaceans, fruits and vegetables to side dishes on the dinner table, the labels depict many ingredients, and you can read about Japan’s abundant food resources at the time and the high design skills that were cultivated in the midst of international competition.
The originality and freshness of the outstanding designs also reflect the breath of the modern Japanese era.
Enjoy the commercial designs of canned food labels from the past, which are still full of fresh appeal even decades after they were created.
